The town hall of Paris has been at war for several months against the operators managing these self-service scooters, such as Lime or Dott. Their contract is due to expire in a few weeks, and the representatives of the town hall have multiplied the warnings for a few months. “All the solutions are on the table, including that of stopping the convention”warned the ecologist David Belliard, in charge of Mobility in the capital.

For their part, the companies are defending themselves, multiplying the proposals to try to convince users as authorities: at the end of November, they presented new measures, including the registration of scooters, or a reinforcement of the devices for controlling the age of users. . It remains to be seen if these have convinced the Parisians, or if they will vote to drive these small vehicles out of their city.
