(sda) Only Dominik Paris prevented the total Swiss triumph in the World Cup downhill in Bormio, on “his route”. Marco Odermatt and Niels Hintermann took second and third place behind the South Tyrolean.

Odermatt secured his first podium in a World Cup downhill. A month ago in Lake Louise, Canada, he had finished fourth. Hintermann immediately confirmed third place, thanks to which he had finished in the top three for the first time in this discipline ten days earlier in Val Gardena. Beat Feuz and Urs Kryenbühl left.

Paris confirmed itself as the “departure king” in Bormio. He won the race on the “Stelvio” for the sixth time. In addition, there is a victory in the Super-G.
