An investigation was opened after several parties organized in Downing Street and within the senior administration during the confinements, the British police said on Tuesday. British police announced on Tuesday that they were investigating several parties organized in Downing Street and within the senior administration during the confinements, at the origin of a serious crisis threatening Prime Minister Boris Johnson. “I can confirm that the Met are currently investigating a number of events which have taken place in Downing Street and Whitehall over the past two years in relation to potential breaches of the rules relating to the Covid-19,” said Metropolitan Police Chief Cressida Dick during a hearing before elected officials in the capital.
