Friday October 21, 2022, Yves Calvi thus recalled having made his debut in 1986 on RFI. Asked what he prefers between radio and television, the host said: “My first job is radio. It so happens that I started my professional life alongside Patrick Cohen at Radio France Internationale. The first time I came to dictate texts, he was dictating his diary.” To which Patrick Cohen replied with a grimace, faced with the passage of time: “That was 36 years ago!“

In the early 1990s, Yves Calvi and Patrick Cohen worked together again. “And then we met together at France Info too and we were co-presenters. Anyway, very sincerely, my original profession is radio! I’m happiest on the radio!“, said the host. Referring to the morning show of RTL, which he co-hosts with Amandine Bégot, Yves Calvi said he was very happy today: “There are professional miracles that are like that. I discovered a radio sister who is in fact a journalism sister. From the moment we are on the same vibratory mode (…) it’s good!“
