Patscherter perpetrator – police officer saw robber video: “Hoitaus, I know him!”

When the police know you better than you’d like! In Ansfelden, investigators did not have to search long for a robbery – a colleague recognized the suspect from the surveillance video.

The 18-year-old from Haid near Ansfelden probably felt unobserved when he struck shortly before 6 p.m.: He pushed the cashier of a supermarket in Haid aside, reached into the cash drawer and fled with the stolen cash. The police conducted an immediate search while colleagues viewed the video surveillance material – because the robber was not unobserved. Since the boy had not worn any kind of mask or disguise, but his face was “known to the authorities”, it all happened very quickly. “Because I know it,” said one of the officers and the police drove to the suspect’s address, where they gave him a half Hour after the fact also met. They arrested him on the spot and took him to the police detention center in Linz.
