WHEN WILL THE SERIES BE BROADCAST?
No broadcast date yet, but filming before the summer has been mentioned. Due to the short format of the series (episodes of around thirty minutes) and the low number of digital special effects, a broadcast in 2025 is entirely possible!
WHERE TO SEE IT IN STREAMING?
Previously offered on Prime Video, the first season of Peacemaker is currently no longer available in France. It will nevertheless appear in the catalog of the Max platform (owned by the Warner Bros. group), the launch of which is planned for us later this year.

WHO PLAYS IN THE SERIES?
John Cena plays the lead role of Peacemaker. The former WWE superstar wrestler was in the cast of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, which marked the character’s first-ever on-screen appearance.
The quality of his interpretation, and the comic potential of the character, quickly convinced the producers to order a spin-off series which would be entirely dedicated to him.
The crack team includes John Economos (Steve Agee), a computer genius suspected by Peacemaker of dyeing his beard to hide his white hair (lol). The squad is led by Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland, incidentally the wife of James Gunn), a woman of action who cannot stand Peacemaker’s stupidity.
Finally, let us also mention the presence in the group of Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks), none other than the daughter of Amanda Wallers (Viola Davis). Finally, another anti-hero completes the ranks of this team of broken arms: Vigilante, the alter-ego of Adrian Chase (Freddie Stroma).

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT SEASON 2
Season 2 was ordered before the decision to reboot the DC Comics franchise. Although all the superheroes, including Superman and Batman, will change interpreters, it has been decided that Peacemaker will appear in this new version of the DC universe, still in the guise of John Cena.
Although he promises that the second season will maintain the wacky and absurd tone of the first, James Gunn has however announced that a new intro credits will be filmed – notably due to the arrival of new faces in the series’ cast.
It is also planned that links will be directly established with several other DC Comics productions, in particular the Waller series dedicated to Amanda Waller (whose new interpreter has not been revealed, if Viola Davis were to be replaced in the role).

IS A SEQUEL PLANNED?
It is difficult to know whether or not a third season of Peacemaker will see the light of day. Certainly, John Cena and James Gunn have not hidden their pleasure in collaborating together on this series. But the director’s schedule looks busy, between directing Superman: Legacy and supervising the revival of the DC Universe…
