Why do you need an exfoliating glove?

A peeling glove is a comparatively inexpensive beauty tool that is supposed to improve the skin on the arms, legs and body. With regular and correct use, you can look forward to the following effects:

  • Effective cleaning: Loose flakes of skin are gently removed by peeling with the glove. This makes the skin cleaner and softer.
  • Intensive care: Care products such as moisturizing cream, lotion or nourishing oil can be absorbed and work much better after the peeling.
  • Smooth skin: Exfoliating the skin before you shave helps the blades slide over the skin better and removes hair more effectively.
  • Perfect tan: A peeling removes dirt, sebum and flakes of skin so that a self-tanner that is applied afterwards can be applied more evenly and ensures a nicer result.
  • Blood circulation: The massage with a peeling glove stimulates the blood circulation. In the long term, the skin can be tightened and cellulite reduced. Firming lotions applied afterwards can also help.

How is an exfoliating glove used?

The peeling glove is suitable for use during the shower or in the bathtub. Dirt and flakes of skin can be removed very well from damp skin. The massage with the peeling glove is not only effective, but also pleasant and has a relaxing effect on body and mind. It is best to take a little time and consider the following tips:

  • Moisten the glove with it warm water until the material is nice and soft and then put a drop of shower gel or shower oil on the glove.
  • Massage your arms, legs, stomach, and chest as well circular motions and light pressure. Avoid the face, neck and décolleté as the skin is thinner and more sensitive here.
  • After the treatment with the peeling glove, shower off any remaining shower gel thoroughly and dry the skin gently. You can then do a moisturizing or firming Skin care that the skin can now absorb particularly well.
  • After using it, you should use the Wash the glove with soap and hang to dry. Wash it in the washing machine once a month.
  • Use the exfoliating glove once or twice a week in the shower or in the bathtub. If you have insensitive skin, you can of course use the glove more often.

Is a peeling glove better than a “normal” peeling?

Both a peeling and a peeling glove free the skin of dirt, deposits and excess skin. However, the glove has one advantage: it is more sustainable. If you clean your glove after each use, you can use it for several months without any problems. In addition, body scrubs often contain microplastics as abrasive particles, which enter the oceans via sewage and are harmful to the environment. A massage glove (especially one made from natural fibers), on the other hand, does not pollute the wastewater.

When shouldn’t you use an exfoliating glove?

You should avoid using an exfoliating glove if you have very sensitive skin or a skin disease. The peeling glove is also not recommended for injuries or severe varicose veins.

Do not use an exfoliating glove on the delicate skin of the face, neck or décolleté, unless the glove is specially made for it and is particularly soft. Also, be sure to clean the glove after each use to prevent bacteria from collecting in the fibers.
