It’s not just Mario in life. Yes there is Sonic too. And while both have announced titles for which we cannot hide our impatience (Super Mario Bros Wonder, Sonic Superstars), Penny’s Big Breakaway tries to pull out of the game with an almost outrageous artistic direction. And while these two institutions show a desire to return to 2D, theoutsider Penny’s Big Break play the card full 3d.
Armed bandit
Defined by the editor as the “Yo-tagonist” of the adventure, Penny was unlucky. As she was leading a number against Emperor Eddie, her Yo-Yo came to life, and grabbed Her Majesty’s pants. Since then, it’s the drama, everything is linked, Eddie launches his army of penguins in pursuit of Penny. To get by and overcome the twelve worlds that will make up the title in its final version, the heroine will be able to use her Yo-Yo, improve it, teach it new tricks. New skills that will be useful for accessing secret areas or unearthing unique items.
If the pitch of the game is quite classic, it goes without saying that given the CV of the members of Evening Star, our degree of expectation is quite high concerning Penny’s Big Breakaway. The title is planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC with a release early next year. Pre-orders for the 3D platformer are already available via the Private Division website.
