Perfect lawn without work: Aldi sells affordable robotic lawnmowers for large gardens

The mowing season begins in many places in April, when temperatures reach double digits again and the greenery grows and grows. At least if we don’t have another onset of winter waiting for us. If you don’t feel like pushing the lawnmower through the garden yourself this year, you can use a robotic lawnmower.

There is currently such a device in the Aldi online shop that can even handle larger lawns of up to 900 square meters. When you purchase it, you also get a garage so that the robotic lawnmower is protected from wind and weather.

The Scheppach RoboCut XXL900 has manual and automatic control via app. The mowing times can also be set here if necessary. The boundary wire included in delivery can be laid above ground, so the effort is significantly less than with other models.

Integrated edge mowing function

The Robocut XXL900 can handle inclines of up to 35 percent, and the cutting height can be adjusted between two and six centimeters. The model also has an integrated edge mowing function, which, according to the manufacturer, enables precise lawn edges.

There are also some security functions: sensors are installed that detect shocks, tilts or elevations, and there is also a PIN function. The overall package is impressive, the price is very fair at 599 euros. The garage alone costs 100 euros individually.

The recommended retail price for the robotic lawnmower is just under 1,000 euros, prices from other dealers start at 600 euros – without a garage. However, most people charge significantly more for the robotic lawnmower. The price is usually between 650 and 700 euros. So Aldi’s offer is very good.
