Perpetrators on the run – woman (55) attacked and tied up in her own house

What an insane act! In her own house, a 55-year-old woman from Styria was attacked and tied up by four strangers on Tuesday. The perpetrators were after their safe…

At around 7:45 p.m., the previously unknown men broke into the family home on a side street in Stattegg, north of Graz. The 55-year-old resident was alone in the house at the time when the perpetrators overpowered her and tied her to an armchair with cable ties and adhesive tape. The perpetrators then threatened the 55-year-old and repeatedly demanded that the code for the safe in the house be handed over. However, due to the nervousness and shock, the woman could not name it. Safe torn from its anchorage The perpetrators finally managed to use force and an angle grinder they had brought with them to cut the safe out of its anchorage. Because the violent opening of the approximately 300-kilogram safe failed, the perpetrators transported it, along with the jewelry and cash in it, to the getaway vehicle – a white pickup truck. The perpetrators then searched the entire house for valuables before escaping after about an hour and a half in the van in a southerly direction or via the center of Stattegg. Victims in shock, perpetrators fleeing After the perpetrators fled, the 55-year-old was able to free herself from the chains and flee to the neighbors. There she called the police. The woman was unharmed, but suffered a severe shock. Information requested from the LKA at 059133/60-3333. They were dressed in black or sweatpants and spoke German with an Albanian accent. Two of the perpetrators were about 1.85 meters tall, with one being rather of a larger build and the second having a thin build.
