Cult rocker Peter Maffay will give a concert with his band in October – of course, subject to the applicable conditions.
The corona crisis shook up the entire cultural scene in Germany in 2020. Peter Maffay (70, "Tabaluga") would like to ensure a bit of normality with his band. The musicians will perform on the Berlin Waldbühne on October 2nd. The show is intended to conclude the "Back to Live" concert series organized by Semmel Concerts. Of course, all applicable protective measures and requirements should be observed.
"We start the engine again," says Maffay happily. After three concerts, Maffay had to interrupt his tour in the spring due to the illness of two band members. Actually, the new concerts should have taken place in summer 2020, which was ultimately not possible due to the Corona crisis.
Against the "concert withdrawal"
"The first three concerts of our tour in Kiel, Hamburg and Berlin literally set us on fire," the abrupt interruption "put us all on concert withdrawal," the rocker explains. "We didn't expect for a long time that there could be another encounter between us and the audience this year. (…) Of course we strictly adhere to the applicable hygiene and distance rules."
As part of the "Back to Live" concert series, Roland Kaiser (68), Sido (39) and Helge Schneider (64) will also be performing. Advance ticket sales start on August 27th at 12:00 noon.
