King Charles III was crowned this Saturday, May 6, 2023. His 3 grandchildren were present, and George, Charlotte and Louis played their role to perfection.
THE Coronation of Charles III is a historic day. This Saturday, May 6 was expected by millions of British subjects. They were thus able to follow the official ceremony which took place at Westminster Abbey live and follow the various stages of this very solemn day, which was attended by personalities such as Brigitte Macron sublime in pink on the arm of the French President, Charlene and Albert of Monaco, or movie stars. THE King Charles III, his wife Camilla, his son Prince William and his wife the very elegant Kate Middleton were observed under the magnifying glass by the cameras of the whole world. Just like the prince Harry who was placed in the background in a delicate position as an outcast of the royal family. But those that a majority of photographers have immortalized the most are the king’s grandchildren.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were present for this global event. The 9-year-old Prince George was as usual very serious, embracing his role as heir to the crown to perfection. It is indeed now 2nd in line of succession after Prince William. There Princess Charlotte, a true double of her great-grandmother Elizabeth II usually teasing and very energetic, held herself tall and dignified throughout the ceremony. Prince Louis was expected at the turn. Indeed, his escapades during the queen’s jubilee in June 2022, his recurring grimaces and his regular breach of protocol almost cost him his place at this ceremony.

Kate and William and Charles III and Camilla finally decided to trust the young prince and give him the benefit of the doubt. And the latter did not disappoint them, despite a few yawns and sighs that amused the photographers. He stood in check from the height of his 5 years during the various stages of the ceremony and the parade. On the Buckingham balcony, on the other hand, he could not retain facial expressions and cries of joy in front of the parade of planes and helicopters. A way to release the pressure no doubt.
