“Lights on!” is the name of the game at Rockefeller Center in NYC
The festive season officially started on December 1st in NYC: The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan (New York) is lit. The gem by Tannenbaum rises 24 meters into the sky and is adorned with more than 50,000 colored lights. Definitely not a normal Christmas tree that we are dealing with here. For a special touch, the tip is provided with a 400 kilogram star designed by star architect Daniel Libeskind. Lighting the lights has been THE Christmas tradition for 90 years. Not just for New Yorkers, tourists from all over the world come to see the spectacle.
