Servette-Chênois has never lost this season: the Geneva women survived all cup, main round and playoff games unscathed – until now. At the crucial moment, in the playoff final against FC Zürich Frauen, Servette lost 3-0 in St. Gallen on Friday evening.
The second playoff final in history ended like the first one last year: In the end, the Zurich record champions celebrated their 24th title.
FCZ defends compactly
The game had started evenly, the Geneva women still had the first chance: Sandrine Mauron’s header flew just wide of the post in the 5th minute. As a result, the FCZ defended better and better and let the opponents get in front of the goal less often.

20-year-old Alayah Pilgrim provided the final point in stoppage time when she completed an attack worth seeing with a lob to make it 3-0.
Geneva women heartbroken
