The message is devoid of any commercial communication, Sony explain that “beginning December 31, 2023, due to our licensing agreements with content providers, you will no longer be able to watch any of your previously purchased Discovery content and the content will be removed from your video library”. More than 1,000 programs will disappear at the end of the month, PlayStation Store and the digital library of buyers, who have nevertheless paid to “own” these shows and series.
Obviously, on social networks, users did not fail to express their dissatisfaction with this announcement. This reignites the debate on digital content, which never really belongs to buyers.
