PlayStation is further strengthening its ranks, but that worries players

PlayStation has just strengthened its ranks in the greatest discretion, but that worries some players. For good reason, a certain studio might be in danger.

PlayStation is like Xbox, it’s the buyout specialist. The best example we can think of is the development studio Bungie. More recently, the company acquired Audeze, a brand specializing in audio and gaming headsets. In short, she tries to be on all fronts. However, this time it is not an acquisition, but a rather significant recruitment. However, it has raised some concerns within the community.

PlayStation offers the services of a former Call of Duty producer

To be more precise, Sony has officially recruited Jason Blundell, a former producer of Call of Duty, and ex-employees of the Deviation Games studio. This is where eyebrows started to raise. In fact, this firm would normally design an AAA for the PlayStation 5. As a result, it had to respond to Sony. On this point, there is nothing abnormal. After all, the company was founded by veterans of the Activision franchise. This is what tipped the ear of a certain number of players, who expected to be dealing with a shooter. That said, everything doesn’t seem to have gone as planned.

Indeed, Deviation Games, which also included Blundell in its ranks, had signed a partnership agreement with Sony to work on AAA for the PlayStation 5. Only, it had obviously come to nothing, and the former producer left the studio he co-founded. Then, rumors arose that the famous PS5 exclusivity would have been abandoned. It was following all these events that users noticed this significant recruitment on the part of the Japanese giant.

But a question arises, and it has worried some: did Sony recruit all the members of Deviation Games? Has the PS5 project been restarted, or is it definitely not going to see the light of day? Was this one of the PlayStation service games that were supposedly canceled? For now, it’s impossible to know, but we know that they are now working on something that has not yet been announced. An AAA perhaps? We can’t wait to find out what it is, but it’s certainly not going to happen anytime soon.
