The Pokémon license is no longer to be presented as it has been present on the video game scene for years. Moreover, in 2021, players, amateurs or newcomers to the franchise, were able to discover several Pokémon games. On this subject, Nintendo recently shared its latest financial results.
According to the firm, 35 million Pokémon games would have been sold in the year 2021. The firm gave more details regarding the sales. Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Pokémon Sparkling Pearlthe two remakes of titles released for Nintendo DS in 2007, have sold 14.65 million copies, between November 2021 and March 2022. On the other hand, Pokemon Legends: Arceus passed the milestone of 12 million copies sold, from January to March.
Moreover, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield recorded 3.18 million sales during the last fiscal year, and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu/Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee 1.25 million. Ultimately, New Pokemon Snap achieved 2.40 million sales during the year 2021.
As a reminder, the next Pokémon adventure, called Pokémon Scarlet/Purple, is expected for this year. However, we do not yet have its official and precise release date. Obviously, we will not fail to keep you informed, as soon as more information is available on this subject.
