The world competition on video games and the Pokémon card game will take place as planned in London this summer, with this year the presence of Pokémon Unite.
As announced last January, the new Pokémon Unite will be present at the 2022 World Championships, alongside the other games already made official, Pokémon Sword Shield, Pokkén Tournament DX, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon TCG. The Pokémon Company has now announced the place and date of this world championship to find the best trainer 2022.
The competition is will play from August 18 to 21 at ExCeL London, where the European championships have already been played. The physical event in London is therefore maintained, with all the health rules in force to guarantee the health and safety of players and organizers, indicates the group. This is the first time the event will be played outside of North America.
From August 17 to 21, the 2022 Pokémon World Championships will also be an opportunity to visit the Pokémon Center store, where fans will find various tournament-themed merchandise. The Pokémon Center will remain open while supplies last.
