2024 - Polygamous Gims? The singer finally responds to the rumor

Suspected of polygamy for several years, Gims responded to this rumor in his interview for the Journal du Dimanche this Sunday, January 23.

Married to DemDem since 2005 with whom he had four children, Gims was in a relationship before that with another woman, mother of his first two children. For many years there has been a rumor that the singer is polygamous. Some went so far as to say that his wife was aware and accepted the situation.

Gims had never bounced on the subject until then, which was enough to swell the controversy.

Interviewed by the Sunday newspaper of this January 23, the singer finally returned to this rumor and completely denied.

“I got married only once”

Gims wanted to make things clear: “That’s totally untrue. I live with DemDem and the kids. I got married only once. I never said it publicly. I never wanted to dwell on this rumor. The rumor is extinguished when it reaches the ear of the intelligent. I have confidence in the intelligence of my audience.”

Launched on the subject, the rapper explained why he never sought to deny this rumor: “They don’t talk to me about that. My audience never talks to me about it. It came from somewhere else, I don’t know exactly where. This rumor has existed for a very long time, since the time when I was part of the group Sexion d’Assault. Living in Morocco must have brought this ambiguity.”

This is what is said and which will, we hope, leave the married couple alone.
