Popcorn Festival: a Ponce joke divides Internet users

A few hours before the kick-off of the long-awaited Popcorn Festival, the war rages on Twitter around a Ponce joke that does not win unanimous support.

Everything seems to be smiling at Popcorn, Domingo’s sweet and salty talk show, whose very first festival, which is about to open its doors, is already a resounding success.

After being there every Tuesday evening for almost 3 years, fans of the show were eager for the virtual to become concrete. So when the Popcorn Festival box office opened, it was robbed in just a few minutes.

Nothing seems able to tarnish the enthusiasm of Internet users in the face of such an event. However, a few hours before the doors opened, shadows darkened the picture as one of the columnists, Ponce, received an outcry on Twitter.

A joke that is hard to pass

While for 48 hours the photos around the Popcorn Festival have been multiplying on the web, there is one that has received a mixed reception. On D-2, Ponce staged himself in front of the sign for the town of Montcuq, a schoolboy joke was not unanimous.

While many Internet users laughed at it, saying to themselves that someone had to make this joke, others considered this joke to be heartbreaking, criticizing the streamer’s humor. Very quickly the Ponce hashtag found itself among the top trends of the day as the debate raged on Twitter.

After explaining that this joke had been advised to him by a resident of the city, Ponce declared that for his part he will not be affected by this outcry which will not change “absolutely nothing to my life and my projects”.
