The cult show from the 2000s, “Popstars”, is preparing to make its comeback. If the show will this time be broadcast on Prime Video, the newspaper “Le Parisien” revealed on Sunday the three French artists who will make up the jury for this new version of the musical program.

M6’s flagship show between 2001 and 2007, Popstars, will be reborn in 2024 on Prime Video, Amazon’s SVOD platform. Sunday, the newspaper Le Parisien/Today in France revealed the jury which will officiate for this recovery. These are three artists with very different profiles: the singer Louane, who won the song of the year prize at the NRJ Music Awards last Friday, Eddy de Pretto and the Marseille rapper Alonzo.

Filming has already started

The three singers began filming on Sunday November 12, in the Paris region, in complete secrecy. The process of the show remains the same: there will first be auditions. Then, the jurors will have to put together a group and we will follow the entire training, from rehearsals to recording the album. Big names like Chimène Badi, M.Pokora and Sherifa Luna have managed to have a solo career after their time in the musical program.

After The Star Academy, the second edition of the new version of which has just started on TF1, it is therefore this other cult program from the 2000s which is preparing to make its comeback. The new edition of Popstars should be released in 2024.
