(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission announces that it has authorised, under EU State aid rules, Italian aid of €20 million to support Poste Italiane for the creation of 80 spaces of coworking in small and medium-sized Italian cities.
The objective of the measure is to create an accessible coworking network equipped with digital infrastructure across the country.
The Commission found that the measure was ‘necessary and appropriate’ to develop coworking spaces in areas where private investment would not be made in the absence of public support, and that it was also ‘proportionate’, because limiting to the necessary minimum.
The support will take the form of a direct grant, says the Commission.
