Have you ever seen a Predator dance? After this video, that will be the case! During the filming of the final sequence of “Predator 2”, the actors in the creators’ costumes delivered some memorable dance steps, alongside Danny Glover.
It all started in 1987 with John McTiernan’s original Predator. The rest is history. Three years later, Predator 2 was released, a sequel this time directed by Stephen Hopkins but still written by brothers Jim and John Thomas.
In this sequel, it is no longer Arnold Schwarzenegger that we follow but rather Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon) who lends his features to detective Mike Harrigan. In Los Angeles in 1997, the latter and his team fight against all kinds of traffickers. But soon, an invisible and invulnerable killer decimates their ranks. Mike then investigates and discovers that the city has become the hunting ground of a predator from another world…

Little known and often poorly considered, Predator 2 did not enjoy the success expected when it was released in 1990, despite the fact that it was rather successful. It indeed transposed the story of the first film into the city and provided essential new information on the customs of the feared creature, in addition to introducing new weapons and the alien’s ship and its emblematic skulls. Despite this, the film unfortunately went unnoticed at the box office.
The next generation: two films in preparation?
After numerous more or less appreciated films, the legendary predator made his comeback in 2022 in a feature film which finally brought everyone together, the highly acclaimed Prey, taking place in the distant past this time, in 1719 , where a young Comanche woman and skilled warrior fights to protect her tribe from one of the first highly evolved predators to land on Earth.
Upon its release, Dan Trachtenberg’s film not only broke streaming records for the Hulu platform on which it was released, but also achieved the best reviews in the franchise’s history, leading it directly to the Emmys where it was nominated for six awards, winning best sound editing: a first for the saga.

Amber Midthunder in “Prey” (2022)
Given this success, it is not surprising that another Predator film is now in preparation, still under the direction of Dan Trachtenberg : Badlands, as it is titled, will be a new standalone feature film featuring an entirely new story. If the details of the plot are kept secret, it seems, however, that it will take place in the future and that it will also feature a female main character.
As for the real continuation of Prey, it seems that even if the project is still in its early stages, it is still in preparation with Amber Midthunder, the heroine of the first opus, potentially returning. However, to be continued.
