Pregnant woman turned away from restaurant for unacceptable reason

A restaurant in Marysville, United States, refused to serve a young pregnant woman for scandalous reasons. In the face of the bad buzz, the establishment had no choice but to apologize.

It's a story Charisha Raylee Gobin will long remember. Some time ago, when the young woman was pregnant, she was refused entry to a restaurant in Marysville in the United States. According to one of the waitresses, the young woman's outfit simply did not comply with the rules of the establishment where a sign stated: "No shirt. No shoes. No service" ("No t-shirt, no shoes, no service"). In reality, it was not the outfit of the mother-to-be that was the problem but her stomach that her T-shirt showed. According to restaurant employees, her stomach was too visible.

Charisha Raylee Gobin was seven months pregnant at the time of the incident and was expecting twins. She had opted for a crop top and a flowing skirt to go to the restaurant on a hot summer night.

The young woman, shocked by the reaction of the waiters, had made a video to testify about this situation. It did not fail to create a buzz on social media. Many Internet users pointed out that if the young woman had a flat stomach, "it wouldn't have shocked anyone ". Crop tops are more and more trendy and many women wear them. However, Charisha Raylee Gobin is not the only one who has been victim of gender discrimination compared to his outfit. Last year a young woman was humiliated on a flight Thomas cook to Tenerife because of her judged crop top "inappropriate".

Interviewed by CBS News, Charisha Raylee Gobin explained that the restaurant had cited "violations of the health code". In the face of the bad buzz on social media, the restaurant apologized in a statement. "The waitress in question has been with our (company) for almost 20 years. (She) tried to use her best judgment and in no way tried to humiliate (Charisha). ", could we read.

This echoes the movement of French high school and college girls who called on social networks to wear outfits this Monday, September 14 "indecent"including crop tops to denounce sexism in schools.
