The magazine “Télé Star” interviewed eight of the 12 presidential candidates on their favorite TV shows and series. Its editor-in-chief Linda Bouras has agreed to reveal exclusively for Europe 1 some of the crisp information that will be read in her magazine on Monday.

INTERVIEW

What do Nicolas Dupont Aignan, Valérie Pécresse or Emmanuel Macron look at between two files to be processed or just before going to bed? TV Star asked presidential candidates what their favorite TV programs were, shows and series combined. And their answers are sometimes surprising. Linda Bouras, the editor-in-chief, has agreed to reveal exclusively for Europe 1 some of the candidates’ responses, to be discovered in the magazine.

“We were convinced that all the candidates were going to tell us that they were fans of the series dark baron. In the end, only Yannick Jadot spoke to us about this political series from Canal+. Another surprising point: Emmanuel Macron and Valérie Pécresse both share a taste for The Crown and Ten percent“, observes Linda Bouras.

“Nathalie Arthaud is a fan of the series Downtown Abbeynot for its intrigues on the aristocrats, but those on the servants”, continues the editor-in-chief. “Nicolas Dupont-Aignan confided to us that he had discovered reality TV The people of Marseilles during the first confinement. It’s hard to imagine him watching the shouting matches of Maéva, Julien and Paga, and yet that’s what he wanted to tell us.

“Two hours before our closure, we still did not know if Emmanuel Macron was going to answer us”

Among the 12 candidates, only eight accepted to play the game and answer the questions of TV Star. “We harassed the candidates’ teams for several weeks. It must be recognized that some candidates responded favorably quite quickly, such as Valérie Pécresse, Yannick Jadot and Nathalie Arthaud”, reveals Linda Bouras. “For Emmanuel Macron, it was more complicated: his team was excited, then we waited for his answer for several days. Two hours before our closure, we still did not know if he was going to answer us.”

The editor-in-chief also explains the absence of the four other candidates. “Marine Le Pen’s press officer told us that she didn’t have time. Philippe Poutou opted for a frank refusal”, she lists. “And we failed to join the teams of Jean Lassalle and Fabien Roussel.” For more on the contestants’ favorite TV shows, the next issue of TV Star will be available Monday at your newsagents.
