By gaining another 0.5 point on Tuesday to reach 14% of voting intentions for the first round of the presidential election, in our Ifop-Fiducial poll for Paris Match, LCI and Sud Radio, Eric Zemmour returns to his level of January 14 last and nibbles behind Valérie Pécresse, who loses 0.5 points (16%).
The announcement of new support for his candidacy has apparently paid off. Joined by Guillaume Peltier (ex-LR) and Gilbert Collard (ex-RN), pending the possible declaration of Marion Maréchal-Le Pen, Eric Zemmour gains 0.5 points on Tuesday to reach 14% of voting intentions for the first round of the 2022 presidential election in our Ifop-Fiducial poll. The far-right candidate had not reached this level since January 14, before his highly contested statements on the education and inclusion of children with disabilities. He is now only 2 points behind the Republican candidate Valérie Pécresse, who loses 0.5 points (16%), and 3.5 points over the president of the National Rally Marine Le Pen (17.5 =) . In the details of our report, the electorate of Marine Le Pen is less sure of its choice (the certainty of the choice fell from 83% to 73%) and 26% of Marine le Pen voters in 2017 surveyed by Ifop head towards Eric Zemmour.
On the left, it does not move
The popular primary on the left which chose Christiane Taubira as a candidate for a possible large rally has so far produced no effect. All the candidates on the left are stable on Tuesday, from Jean-Luc Mélenchon still credited with 9.5% to Christiane Taubira and Fabien Roussel, both at 3.5%. It is interesting to note that the potential voters of Christiane Taubira and Yannick Jadot, the first two in the popular primary, are the least sure of their choice (42 and 41% respectively).
