This time, a dead graduate biologist, a billionaire investor, a mysterious house and a rare beetle occupy the attention of detectives Burkhard “Butsch” Schulz (Götz Schubert) and Viola Delbrück (Yvonne Catterfeld), who are finally investigating side by side again. Because Dr. Grimm (Stephan Grossmann) has been rehabilitated and is back in his executive chair, but his behavior is more than strange even for his circumstances.

Luckily, the unconventional Mary Cornfield (Nadja Uhl) starts as the new teacher at the boarding school this year. She gives the students magical animals that can talk. Ida gets a fox and Benni gets a turtle. They experience exciting adventures together.
