Theresa Wolff (Nina Gummich) has to examine a corpse in the Bismarck fountain on the market square in Jena. The man did not die on the spot, but was brought to this exposed spot. Chief Inspector Bruno Lewandowski (Aurel Manthei) and his colleague Ceyhan Topal (Sahin Eryilmaz) investigate. The victim was a winner of the turn. With three other men, he used patents from the state-owned combine to set up the optical company Aspiclab, which the men bankrupted in the 1990s.
