8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Who knows something like that XXL, knowledge quiz

A particularly long XXL edition of “Who knows something like that?” awaits the audience in the festive studio, moderated by Kai Pflaume. Team captains Bernhard Hoëcker and Elton and their teams face bizarre quiz questions in three exciting rounds. Six prominent guests, including Piet Klocke and Olli Dittrich in the comedy duel, Charly Hübner against Karoline Schuch in the acting duel and Palina Rojinski against Jessica Schwarz in the cinema duel, are fighting for 50,000 euros for charity.

8:15 p.m., ZDF, The Rosenheim Cops: An Ice Cold Murder, crime series

A multi-day curling tournament in Rosenheim, in which the rich and famous play for a good cause, comes into focus due to a terrible act. The curling hall tenant discovers a dead man on the ice the morning after opening day. He is Thomas Hellwig, the generous sponsor of the tournament. Inspectors Hansen (Igor Jeftić) and Stadler (Dieter Fischer) start the investigation because the forensic doctor Dimos confirms that the victim was beaten to death.

During a Christmas trip to Khao Lak, Thailand in 2004, a group of friends from Bonn had no idea what far-reaching consequences their stay would have. What begins for Julia (Luise Bähr) as a paradisiacal vacation with the longed-for reunion with her sister Alexandra (Karoline Schuch) ends in the catastrophe of the tsunami, in which Julia dies. Years later, her family and friends are once again overwhelmed by a wave of terror.
