8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Schnee, mystery thriller series

The doctor Lucia Salinger (Brigitte Hobmeier) moves with her family to the mountain village of Rotten, hometown of her husband Matthi (Robert Stadlober). Her daughter suffers from severe asthma and the healthy mountain air is supposed to alleviate Alma’s (Laeni Geiseler) illness. But the new beginning is bumpy: neighbor Aurelia (Sylvia Eisenberger) gives her a strange reception, and Lucia first has to make friends with her in-laws (Karl Fischer and Maria Hofstätter). In the morning, Alma claims that a dead woman visited her and gave her a ring. While shopping, she thinks she will see the woman again and narrowly avoids an accident. When Lucia herself has a scary encounter while jogging in the forest, it becomes clear that something is wrong in Rotten.

8:15 p.m., Sat.1, The Taste, cooking competition

The motto of today’s episode is: “Welcome to Asia.” Guest judge Hao Jin wants to test the culinary talents’ handling of Asian flavors. For team cooking, a draw is drawn to decide who prepares a gourmet spoon with “pork”, “poultry”, “seafood” or “tofu”. In solo cooking, the candidates should demonstrate their skills with typically Asian ingredients such as spring onions, dried shiitake or coriander.

The paramedic Sarah Kant (Marta Kizyma) is called to an emergency operation together with her colleague Carlo Melchior (Timocin Ziegler). They take a seriously injured woman to the hospital. The next day, Sarah learns that the woman was not admitted as a patient. Confused, Sarah tries to reach Carlo, but he is found dead in his apartment. What happened that night? Inspector Elisabeth “Bessie” Eyckhoff (Verena Altenberger) and her colleague Dennis Eden (Stephan Zinner) try to reconstruct the events of the night.

The US pilot Dieter Dengler (Christian Bale) is shot down on a secret bombing flight over Laos. He is taken prisoner: in the camp deep in the jungle of Vietnam it is a matter of life and death. Dengler manages to escape with other inmates. But soon Dengler is completely on his own. Now the fight for survival really begins.
