Once again Amazon is hosting its Prime Day. For July 11th and 12th, the shipping giant promises offers on thousands of products.

Amazon is hosting its annual Prime Day again. On July 11th and 12th, 2023, subscribers may be able to save a lot, because the retailer promises in a press release again offers for thousands of products that will be sold at a reduced price – similar to Black Friday or Cyber Monday, for example.

Goods from a wide variety of product categories are on offer at the summer shopping event – from consumer electronics to toys and fashion to household items. In recent years, deals have included TVs from Samsung, coffee machines from De’Longhi, toys from Ravensburger and Lego, care products from L’Oréal Paris and Nivea and many other products from well-known and smaller manufacturers.

There should be a similarly wide selection again this year. The different offers will be activated gradually over the course of Prime Day. In addition, Amazon offers discounts on in-house devices such as televisions, smart speakers, tablets and the like.

Save with the well-known Prime trick

The catch: As already mentioned, only members of the paid Amazon Prime offer can hit the two savings days. However, a well-known trick is to secure a trial membership if you are not yet a customer. The dealer offers the possibility to sign up for a 30-day free trial month.

In this way, new customers can not only pick up possible bargains on Prime Day, but also use other included services. This includes the video streaming service Prime Video, on which there are countless hours of films and series to watch. Via Prime Gaming, users can also secure free games every month – currently the shooter adventure “Prey” and the role-playing classic “Baldur’s Gate II”.

If you don’t cancel in time, you currently have to pay either 8.99 euros a month or 89.90 euros a year in Germany, depending on the subscription you choose. Students and trainees even get six months free membership and then a 50 percent discount. People in Germany and Austria who are exempt from the obligation to pay broadcasting fees/GIS can also book membership for around half the price of EUR 4.49 per month. The same applies to holders of a social pass from a participating city such as Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, Munich or Stuttgart. More detailed information is available on the Amazon website.
