Prince Andrew: Does he "deliberately" avoid contact with the authorities?

Again there are allegations against Prince Andrew: The Royal had so far "deliberately" avoided the authorities in the Epstein case.

After the arrest of Epstein confidante Ghislaine Maxwell (58), the New York Attorney General appeals to Prince Andrew (60) to speak to the FBI. A lawyer for numerous alleged victims of Epstein is now making new allegations against the son of Queen Elizabeth II (94), who is said to have been friends with both Epstein and Maxwell.

"There is no doubt that he is deliberately avoiding the authorities," the lawyer told Sky News. Accordingly, he himself had invited Andrew at least three times to talk about his relationship with Maxwell and Epstein. On the other hand, a source from the royals' team of lawyers is said to have told the broadcaster that Prince Andrew had offered his support to the Department of Justice (DoJ) several times. The DoJ was contacted twice in the past month and received no response.

No official request to the government

Speaking to the LBC radio station, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (56) said on Friday that he did not want to comment on the affairs of the royal family. When the moderator asked again, he made it clear that at least there had been no official request to the British government so far.

Prince Andrew had previously defended himself against allegations that he would not cooperate in the Epstein case. "The Duke of York has offered to assist the DOJ as a witness on at least three occasions this year," Andrew said in June of his lawyers. One of the Epstein victims also accuses the Duke of York of forcing her to have sex with him several times as a minor. The 60-year-old denies the allegations.

Meanwhile, Maxwell is accused of helping Jeffrey Epstein abuse underage girls. She is said to have made friends with the girls and urged them to engage in sexual acts with Epstein. In several cases, she is said to have been involved in the abuse herself.

Maxwell was arrested in the state of New Hampshire on Thursday morning after months of searching for her. Epstein was charged in 2019 with operating a ring on the sexual exploitation of adolescents and children. In August 2019, he committed suicide in a prison cell.
