First preliminary negotiation in the event of abuse – without the prince

Prince Andrew has been charged with sexual abuse by a woman. Now the first preliminary negotiation date is rising – probably without the prince.
In the case of the lawsuit brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre (38) against Prince Andrew (61) for sexual abuse, a first court hearing will take place in New York today, Monday (September 13, 2021). It’s going ok according to “Guardian” at the preliminary negotiation conference mainly about the question of whether the application was properly served on the prince. His lawyers deny this.
According to court records, the indictment was handed over to the security chief at the Royal Lodge, Andrew’s mansion in Windsor, on August 27. Andrew’s lawyers therefore deny the correctness of the surrender, since the prince did not receive the documents personally.
Now the defense lawyers are apparently trying to question the jurisdiction of the New York court. “We affirm that our client reserves all rights, including contesting the jurisdiction of the US courts (including on the basis of a possible defective service),” said Blackfords in a statement.
Lawyers supposedly want to boycott the appointment
Now Judge Lewis Kaplan of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York will conduct the preliminary hearing via conference call and determine whether the complaint was served correctly.
Like among other things the “Times” reports that Andrew’s lawyers are boycotting the meeting. The prince would probably not appear either.
Virginia Roberts Giuffre accuses Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her between 1999 and 2002 on the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019). She was still a minor. Roberts Giuffre is said to have been forced into prostitution by Epstein, who was found dead in his prison cell in 2019.
The second eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II (95) denies the allegations and claims that he cannot remember the plaintiff.
