Prince Andrew has cause to worry: his accuser, Virginia Roberts, “has sworn to destroy him”

Prince Andrew is expected to face a civil trial for sexual assault against Virginia Roberts Giuffre. A source close to the latter’s legal team said that the accuser intends to leave her alleged attacker penniless.

The court costs of Prince Andrew continue to grow. The Duke of York, accused of having sexually abused Virginia Roberts Giuffre three times, is trying at all costs to avoid a trial that could tarnish his image a little more, even if it means opening the wallet to fund a deal with his accuser. A source close to the latter’s legal team said her client felt the Queen of England’s youngest son deserved “ofgo to jail“, but that “leave it ruined and destroyed might be enough”, as reported by the DailyMail Saturday January 15.

These comments follow a devastating week during which Prince Andrew was stripped of his royal and military titles by the Queen. The source added that Virginia Roberts Giuffre would have made such remarks, because very raised by the behaviour “arrogant of the one she incriminated. Indeed, the former companion of Sarah Ferguson began to build his defense by seeking to find flaws in mental health of the alleged victim. Prince Andrew’s lawyers have asked to see the file of thepsychological state of Virginia Roberts Giuffre, as our colleagues from the DailyMail.

A bad strategy

The method of Prince Andrew’s team would therefore aim to discredit memories by Virginia Roberts Giuffre. In an interview given to Times on January 15, Dr Charlotte Proudman, a Cambridge researcher and lawyer, criticized the Duke of York’s legal strategy, calling it “the fultimate elm of victim blame“. The latter thus specified that it was quite common for a victim of abuse to request a psychological support.
