A day before her funeral, Prince Andrew has now published a farewell letter to Queen Elizabeth II.

The day before the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), her disgraced son Prince Andrew (62) published a farewell letter to his mother. In it, the Duke of York describes her as “Dear Mummy, Mother, Her Majesty, three in one”.

It was an “honor and privilege” to serve as “Her Majesty,” he continues. As the “mother of the nation,” her “dedication and personal service” to the nation was “unique and unparalleled.”

Prince Andrew will miss his mother’s advice and humor

Then the 62-year-old becomes more personal: He will “cherish forever” her “love for a son”, her compassion, her care and her trust. To accompany the moving statement, Andrew published a black and white photo from 1960 showing him as a baby in the monarch’s arms.

Prince Andrew continues: “I found that your knowledge and wisdom were infinite, without limits or restraint. I will miss your experience, advice and humor.” He will “keep her close to my heart forever with the deepest love and gratitude,” Andrews said in closing before welcoming the new King Charles III. (73), honoring his brother with the words “God save the king”.
