Prince Christian, the son of Frederik and Mary of Denmark, tested positive for the coronavirus.

The Danish Crown Prince family has a corona case: Prince Christian, the eldest child of Crown Prince Frederik (52) and his wife Mary (48), tested positive for the virus. The Danish royal family announced this on its website today, Monday (December 7th). "The Crown Prince and the Crown Princess were informed yesterday, Sunday 6 December 2020, of a local Covid-19 outbreak in Tranegårdskolen in Hellerup. Prince Christian subsequently tested positive for Covid-19," the statement said.

Apparently, the 15-year-old got infected in his Tranegårdskolen school. The prince is isolated in Frederik VIII's palace at Amalienborg Palace, the royal house said. His parents and siblings Princess Isabella (13) as well as the twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine (9) would have gone into self-isolation until further notice as a precautionary measure. Nothing is yet known about the precise health of Prince Christian.
