Prince George's birthday is July 22. For this reason, his parents, Duchess Catherine, 38, and Prince William, 38, are publishing new photos of their firstborn. This has become a cherished tradition since 2013 to allow the people to participate in the life of the heir to the throne.
Prince George celebrates his 7th birthday
Late Tuesday evening, half an hour before George's day of honor, two photos went online. As always, Kate's birthday boy was taken in; the palace specifies the date "earlier in the month". One of the pictures shows George smiling – and visibly grown and older compared to last birthday – in a green camouflage shirt outdoors. Another photo shows George in a plain green shirt and with a bright smile in front of a wall. Again, the resemblance to Papa William is striking. But Michael Middleton, 71, Kate's father, also wants to be recognized in George.
Little Royal is a photo professional
In July 2013, photographers, fans and journalists had been waiting eagerly for the very first photo of Prince George and sometimes sat in front of St Mary's Hospital in London for days to catch a glimpse of the son of Kate Middleton and Prince William. In a sky blue dress an overjoyed Kate with her baby stepped outside the clinic door the day after the birth. The same day, the new father chauffeured his small family home to Kensington Palace. Since then, the British royal court has regularly provided fans and the press with cute photos of Prince George.
