On the second birthday of their son Archie, Harry and Meghan called for donations for corona vaccinations, especially for poorer countries.

Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) used the second birthday of their son Archie on Thursday (May 6th) to appeal for donations for corona vaccinations in poorer countries. While some countries are on the way to healing, other countries in the world continue to suffer.

“As of today, around 80 percent of the almost one billion corona vaccinations administered worldwide have been inoculated in wealthy countries,” writes the former royal couple on his “Archewell” website. In contrast, in many parts of the world, especially in developing countries, vaccine distribution has not yet started.

The best way to celebrate

Only when “everyone and everywhere” has equal access to vaccinations can the crisis really be overcome. “We invite everyone to contribute what is possible – if the means are available – to bring vaccines to families in the most vulnerable parts of the world,” it said. With a donation of just five dollars, you could pay for a vaccination for someone in need.

The couple couldn’t think of a more effective way to celebrate their son’s birthday.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan resigned from all royal duties more than a year ago and have lived in California ever since. The couple, who have been married since 2018, are expecting their second child.
