TV presenter Katie Couric accounts for her life in the media in an exposure book. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew are also featured.

TV presenter Katie Couric (64) mainly settles accounts with her former “Today Show” colleagues in a new disclosure book. In addition, she also tells of two incidents with royals. This is reported by the British site “Mail Online”who had a look at the manuscript for “Going There”.

Couric describes how she met Prince Harry (37) at a polo game in Brazil. She remembered that the “smell of cigarettes and alcohol seemed to flow from every pore” of his body.

She also reports on the infamous 2010 dinner at the home of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019), which she attended and which was also attended by Prince Andrew, 61. The guests “ate lasagna from shallow bowls” and Epstein held “court” in front of the fireplace with the likes of Chelsea Handler and Woody Allen, as well as Soon-Yi Previn, George Stephanopoulos and Charlie Rose. Couric continues: “I couldn’t imagine what Epstein and Andrew were up to, other than trying to make friends in the media.”

Prince Andrew has had to deal with an allegation of abuse by the American Virginia Roberts Giuffre (38) for some time. It was recently announced that he will no longer try to block a corresponding civil suit against him in the USA. Giuffres allegation: Prince Andrew allegedly sexually abused her as a minor on Epstein’s property. Andrew denies the allegations.

“Burned earth”

Katie Couric’s book caused outrage among people who saw the manuscript. As the British side reports, a critic said it should better be called “Burning Bridges by Catty Couric”, because it reads as if Kitty had Kelley wrote it about Katie “, referring to the notoriously vicious American celebrity biographer Kitty Kelley (79).

After leaving Today, Katie Couric joined CBS to host the evening news and do special programs. Her salary was $ 15 million a year, which made her the highest paid journalist in the world.
