Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have lived in Montecito, California, since 2020. Now there are rumors that they supposedly want to move.

Since their retirement as senior royals in 2020, Prince Harry, 38, and Duchess Meghan, 41, have resided in Montecito, California. If you believe the local “Santa Barbara News-Press”, the two are now planning a move together with their two children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, 1. The pair are said to have “either already bought or are looking into a very private estate at Hope Ranch.” According to this, the two have reportedly determined that their home in Montecito is “not suitable” for them.

Exclusivity at Hope Ranch

Hope Ranch is an affluent coastal suburb of Santa Barbara, approximately 11 miles from Montecito. The town promises plenty of private sandy beaches and spacious bridle paths. There are only 800 properties, most of which are guarded by security guards. When it comes to fun activities at Hope Ranch, Harry and Meghan certainly won’t get bored. The “La Cumbre Country Club” invites you to play golf, tennis and bridge tournaments. With a move, Harry and Meghan would leave behind famous neighbors like Oprah Winfrey and Gwyneth Paltrow, but with stars like rapper Snoop Dogg they would also be in prominent company in Hope Ranch.

According to TMZ, while the residents of Hope Ranch have nothing against the royal couple, many fear “they’ll bring a circus to their quiet, super-private suburb because they’re so famous.”

Harry and Meghan have security concerns

In July, US media reported that Harry and Meghan had security concerns. The police had to move to their home in Montecito six times in the previous 14 months. As “The US Sun” reported, the security alarm was triggered twice within twelve days on their property in May alone. However, it is not known whether the alleged relocation plans are related to this.
