Prince Harry: Duchess Meghan knocked him down so much at the first meeting

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan met on a blind date in 2016. For the British, it was apparently love at first sight.

Prince Harry (35) and Duchess Meghan (39, "Suits") met in 2016 on a blind date, in November of the same year Buckingham Palace confirmed the relationship between the two. In their new book "Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan, and the Making of a Modern Royal Family", authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand reveal new details from the early days of the relationship, according to "Us Weekly". Prince Harry is said to have been blown away when he saw the actress for the first time.

"It is admittedly difficult to impress Harry," reads the book, which has been available since Tuesday (August 11). "But he almost froze to ice when he walked into the room and saw Meghan." Although the prince knew in advance that the American was "pretty", she was "in reality much more stunning". Later, Prince William's brother (38) is said to have revealed to a friend that Meghan was "the most beautiful woman" he "ever saw," the authors continue to write. The couple was "obsessed with each other" in the early stages of their relationship, Harry was like "in a trance".

Meghan was looking for a "nice English gentleman"

The Duchess of Sussex, whose real name was Meghan Markle, was married to the film producer and literature manager Trevor Engelson (43) from 2011 to 2013. After their breakup, according to Finding Freedom, the actress was said to have intended to find “a nice English gentleman” to “flirt” with during a trip to the UK. The blind date with Prince Harry was later arranged by her friends Misha Nonoo and Markus Anderson.

The rest is history. In November 2017, Prince Harry and the current Duchess announced their engagement, and their dream wedding in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle followed in May of the following year. Harry and Meghan have been the parents of little Prince Archie (1) since May 6, 2019.
