The palace indirectly launches a counterattack. Dickie Arbiter, Queen Elizabeth’s former press secretary, puts Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan in their place.

“Never explain; never complain” – that’s an old rule that members of the British royal family have to follow. Queen Elizabeth, † 96, successfully lived by this motto and passed it on to her descendants. This age-old commandment also prohibits the royal family from publicly defending themselves and speaking out, even if they wish to speak up. That’s how it is currently with King Charles, 74, Prince William, 40, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 40. The first three parts of the Netflix documentation of Prince Harry, 38, and Duchess Meghan, 41, caused a sensation and it is expect the next three parts to be even more explosive, even more private and even more critical towards the Royal Family.

The new trailer suggests that there is still a lot to come for William and Co. and that Christmas will probably not be quite as contemplative for them. “You were willing to lie to protect my brother. You were never willing to tell the truth to protect us,” Prince Harry said in the trailer for the final three parts of the documentary. Words that reflect the explosiveness of the situation and show that Meghan and Harry do not mince words.

Prince Harry + Duchess Meghan: “No one will believe them”

Although the royal family is not allowed to express itself, it can do so indirectly. The royal secret weapon goes by the name of Dickie Arbiter, 82. He served the Queen as press spokesman from 1988 to 2000 and does not hide his sharp criticism of Meghan and Harry. But on the contrary.

“Your story has more holes than a sieve,” the former member of the British royal family told the Daily Mail. He criticized the “ambiguous statements” and is sure that “no one will believe a word of what they say”. Arbiter also complained about the accusation of institutional gaslighting that Prince Harry expressed. By definition, gaslighting is when an attempt is made to deliberately unsettle another person – to the point of complete collapse. After all, the victim can no longer distinguish between truth and appearance. Obviously, the Duke of Sussex doesn’t want to put up with anything anymore and defends himself with his verbal bombs.

“It’s absolutely outrageous to talk about institutional gaslighting”

According to Dickie Arbiter, the fact that Meghan and Harry criticized the lack of protection was also extraordinary. “It’s absolutely outrageous to talk about institutional gaslighting. And they’ve had their security taken away because the taxpayers aren’t going to pay for it if they live in America.” The ambiguous statements also shock the former press secretary and he doubts that people will swallow the alleged truth of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan.

“I think they’ve lost their direction and no one will believe a word of what they’re saying.”

These words are clear and should also reflect the opinion of the palace. After all, there is hardly an outside insider who has been as close to the British royal family as Dickie Arbiter. And the fact that he is now expressing himself so clearly for the Royal Family shows his solidarity and loyalty to the British crown.
