Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan want to sell their dream villa in Montecito again after just 18 months. For a reason that was pretty surprising.

That comes completely unexpected: Prince Harry, 37, and Duchess Meghan, 40, searched for a long time to find their dreamy luxury villa in Montecito, California. Surrounded by lush green gardens and overlooking the sea, the property offers many amenities, privacy and plenty of space for two children, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, 1, and six-month-old Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor. An absolute dream house that leaves little to be desired – one would think.

Prince Harry + Duchess Meghan: Luxury property in Montecito is not ideal enough

The villa in the noble district of “Riven Rock” offers every imaginable luxury and the large private property seemed ideal for the young family, but apparently not ideal enough. As reported by the Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan plan to move out of the house and sell the property.

A source said the couple plan to raise their children in a different home. The two royals love their new life in Montecito, the exquisite but relaxed lifestyle and the surroundings, but the house is said to have many shortcomings. The insider says: “They want to stay nearby, but they are not enthusiastic about the house and the location.”

Visits only for prospective buyers with the necessary change

Due to its prominent status, the house is not offered to the public and is not shown to any potential prospect, but only to selected prospective buyers who can prove that they have the necessary change for the purchase in their account. Harry and Meghan had only bought the property 18 months ago and paid $ 14.5 million – the equivalent of around 12.75 million euros – for it, but they are said to not like the location in an extremely exclusive part of Montecito one hundred percent. The villa offers nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, a swimming pool, fitness room, spa, cinema, wine cellar, separate guest house, tennis court and a chicken coop, which son Archie in particular should love.
