Prince Harry on horseback has saddled his horse for a polo tournament in Singapore. There he tries to collect as many donations as possible. But he misses his wife Meghan – and flies back.

Prince Harry, 38, saddled the horse for a good cause in Singapore. King Charles’ son, 74, took part in the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup, a charity tournament for Harry-founded organization Sentebale, on Saturday midday, August 12, 2023. On the sidelines, his longtime friend Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras, 46, spoke about his friend’s feelings. A planned move, but recently rumors of separation boiled up?

Prince Harry misses his wife Meghan

Shortly before the game in which Prince Harry played Nacho Figueras’ team, the professional polo player told the British magazine “Hello!”: “We miss our wives very much.” He then continues: “It was a very short trip and although it’s only been a few days, it’s a lot of appointments in 24 hours in Japan and a few more hours here [in Singapur]. We miss them and wish they were here.” Nacho is not only referring to Meghan, but also to his own wife Delfina Blaquier, 42, a good friend of the Duchess.

The longing is so great that Nacho and Harry started their journey home that same evening. Because as Figueras reveals, after the polo game there will be “a dinner for the people who have supported us so much” and then it’s back to the USA, “so we’ll see them soon,” he says happily.

Harry wants to help children and young people with donations from the Polo Cup

The Royal founded Sentebale in 2006 with Prince Seeio of Lesotho, 57, to help children and young people affected by poverty, inequality and HIV in southern Africa. The first polo tournament took place in Barbados in 2010 and has raised around 14 million US dollars (around 15 million euros) for the charity to date.

“The annual Polo Cup is critical to Sentebale’s essential work to ensure children and young people are healthy, resilient and thriving,” Prince Harry said on the organization’s website. The funds collected in 2023 are to flow into a “Clubs and Camps” program with which Sentebale supports young people.
