Family celebrations pull Prince Harry back home. Apparently, he cannot rely on the company of Duchess Meghan.

Royal fans can hope to see Prince Harry (36) in Great Britain again in early summer. On the one hand, the 100th birthday of Prince Philip (99) and the military parade Trooping the Color on the occasion of the 95th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II (94) are scheduled for June. One month later, the statue of Lady Diana (1961-1997) is to be unveiled in Kensington Palace, which Prince Harry and Prince William (38) had commissioned. Duchess Meghan (39) will probably not accompany her husband to these celebrations.

This is now reported by the British "Daily Mail", referring to several sources. Harry's travel plans are highly dependent on the unpredictable Corona situation, "but it is assumed that the Duke will more than likely come alone." According to the insider, it is "a personal and practical decision by the couple" that should in no way be interpreted as a "snub".

Celebrations should be the focus

Another source is said to have reported something similar to the newspaper. She is quoted as saying: "Harry wants to come back for the big birthdays of the Queen and Prince Philip. It looks like he's alone." If Meghan were to accompany him, the insider said, there was a risk "that it would overshadow the occasion. People would only look at the drama of it all."

The descriptions of a third insider, not mentioned by name, underpin this statement. He said Harry and Meghan were "still very beloved members" of the family and would be "very welcome to attend family events." Nevertheless, there is still a "great distance between Harry and many family members, especially his brother". Nobody would like to see a meeting like the one at the Commonwealth Day service in Westminster Abbey.

It was the last official appearance of Harry and Meghan as senior royals in March 2020. The encounter between the two brothers and their wives seemed hypothermic. If Harry travels to Great Britain in early summer, his presence will mark the first personal reunion since that farewell.
