Prince Harry, 39, and Duchess Meghan, 42, are currently in Düsseldorf, where they are attending the Invictus Games. In addition to many sporting disputes on the field, court or even in the water, the royal dropout also seems to use the event for his own competition. And that’s for his reputation.

Is Prince Harry playing PR games?

On the fifth day of the Invictus Games, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry meet Luigi Miglietta, commander of the headquarters of the ‘Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum’, as well as NATO representatives and families from Italy and the Netherlands.

They pose for photos in bright sunshine, and Meghan is even given a shirt with Italy written on it. They are great pictures that go around the world. And the Prince William, 41, should not like it at all. The older of the brothers will be traveling to New York next week to strengthen his role as a global statesman. There he will meet with United Nations leaders and take part in a summit for his £50 million Earthshot Prize, now in its third year. Experts see the fact that his younger brother has now beaten him to the punch as a clever move on Harry’s part. Brand and culture expert Nick Ede classifies Harry’s behavior towards “MailOnline” as saying that he thwarted William’s plans in the PR battle. He says the meeting with General Luigi Miglietta was a “power play” by Harry in a personal PR battle with his older brother.

William enjoys great popularity in the USA, whereas the Sussexes increasingly have to fight for reputation and acceptance. Was that why Harry deliberately met with the NATO representatives?

Harry plays the PR game brilliantly

Nick Ede told MailOnline: “Harry and Meghan know this is a really good time to shine a light on the Invictus Games, but also on other power players. It’s always going to be a power play between the two brothers and their wives as they are the most famous couples in the world, so all eyes will be on them. With William meeting the UN chiefs next week, the brothers have met some of the most important and powerful people in the world. For both of them, this is positive PR, but it also inevitably raises the question of how far they will go next.”
