With a social media message, Prince William and Duchess Catherine look back on the Queen’s jubilee – and give an extremely private insight behind the walls of Buckingham Palace.
Prince William, 39, and Duchess Catherine, 40, look back on the past weekend with a breathtaking picture gallery. From 2nd to 5th June 2022, Queen Elizabeth, 96, celebrated her platinum grand jubilee. Among them were Prince Harry, 37, and Duchess Meghan, 40, who had traveled from the USA with their children. Williams and Kate’s children Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, also celebrated – with their youngest offspring in particular causing a sensation with their cute faces.

On Twitter and Instagram, the official accounts of Prince William and Duchess Catherine shared throwback posts to the multi-day break – including extremely private moments that show the royals behind the palace walls.
“What a fantastic weekend of celebrations. It was very special to see people across the country coming together with their family, friends and loved ones. Thank you to everyone who came to show their gratitude to the Queen and her inspiring 70-year tenure. From the crowds on the Mall to the communities throwing street parties across the country, we hope you had a memorable weekend,” the statement said.
“What a fantastic weekend” – especially for Prince Louis
“We all had an incredible time. Louis especially,” the Cambridges joked in a final sentence. The little royal caught the eye at both Thursday’s Trooping the Color parade and Sunday’s pageant. With wild grimaces, the four-year-old regularly stole the show from the other royals, and the hilarious photos went around the world.
