As parents of three children, Duchess Catherine and Prince William have their hands full. Fortunately, they get help from their long-time nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo. Psychological support is available around the clock to help her withstand the pressure and stress of her daily commitment.
Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has been working for the Cambridges since 2014. Prince William, 39, and Duchess Catherine, 39, hired her as a nanny for Prince George, 8, who was then eight-month-old. Since then she has been an integral part of the now five-member family, and also takes care of Princess Charlotte, 6, and little Prince Louis, 3.

Born in Spain, she was trained at the renowned Norland College in Bath, UK. The agency for nannies in Norland has been arranging nannies across Great Britain since 1892. The Norland Nannies are not only known for their immense knowledge and care for children, they also receive support from the facility after their training.

Psychological support for Williams and Kate’s nanny
As can be read on the official Instagram account of Norland College, all students who have studied there – including Maria – have the opportunity to use “Togetherall”. The digital support service is designed to help them deal with “everything from everyday stress to major life events”. This support service is available to them 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Norland Agency also has its own internal student support team consisting of a manager and an employee. It is not known whether Williams and Kate’s nanny will use this service. However, the pressure for her as a nanny in a royal family is probably all the greater. In addition, the native Spanish is the only nanny of the Cambridge, as it is a tradition among the royals that each family has only one nanny, and has her hands full with the supervision of three children under ten years of age.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine are great advocates of mental health and founders of the Mental Health Initiative “Heads Together” within their foundation.
