With his organization “The Earthshot Prize”, Prince William wants to campaign for the climate and the animal world. Now he has brought two new heads into the team – and one in particular is no longer unknown in Germany.

Great honor for the German climate activist Luisa Neubauer: As Prince William (38) announced in a video published today on his Twitter channel, the 25-year-old will help select the winners of the “Earthshot Prize”.

Prince William is a fan of Luisa Neubauer

In addition, Ernest Gibson, who lives in Fiji, was appointed. It is fantastic, says the Royal, to have two young and committed climate protectors on his team. The council is made up of influential people from around the world and a wide variety of sectors, all of whom are committed to positive action in the environment.

Protecting nature, the climate and wildlife is one of the main goals of Prince William’s philanthropic work. For this reason he launched the “Earthshot” award in 2020. Its purpose is to create incentives for change and to help repair our planet over the next ten years.

Five winners are to be honored each year

Starting in 2021, the Royal and the experts from the Council will present the award annually to five people, organizations or groups in order to find solutions for the five “Earthshot” goals. These are: protecting and restoring nature, air purification, revitalizing the oceans, building a waste-free world and improving the climate.
