Palast celebrates her birthday with new photos
Princess Amalie is now of legal age.

Princess Amalia celebrates her 18th birthday and the palace celebrates her with six photos. There is also an important appointment on Wednesday.
Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands will celebrate her 18th birthday on Tuesday, December 7th. In her honor, the palace has published six new photos, one of which some also posted on Instagram became.
Three photos show her in a red dress with loose, wavy hair, light make-up and delicate jewelry in a palace hall with murals and chandeliers. The other series is also kept dark. The Princess of Orange, as she has been called since her father, King Willem-Alexander (54) came to the throne on April 30, 2013, wears a dark patterned dress with golden elements from the Dutch label LaDress. She wears a chain with the letter “A” around her neck.
While she smiles friendly in the red series, she looks more serious in the other photos. “The photos were taken this autumn in the Huis ten Bosch Palace,” announced the royal family.
New tasks for Amalia
This more serious look also fits in with her new tasks, because Princess Amalia is now a little more in focus. “According to the law, she is a member of the State Council as of today,” writes the palace on social media. “Morning [Mittwoch, Red.] the Princess of Orange will be brought to the Council of State by the chairman, King Willem-Alexander, “the post continues. Princess Amalia is the daughter of King Willem-Alexander and the native Argentinean Máxima of the Netherlands (50). The two have been married since 2002 and also have daughters Alexia (16) and Ariane of the Netherlands (14).
